Welcome, Welcome; The Light Shine On You

Good idea.. questions from a friend... that works!

Yay! I hope to see you there, and see some motion in this endeavor..

The Light Illumine, and Peace Favor

I know I have some psychic things going on, my husband knows this well (he will not play battleship with me, I can see his ships on my board, or trivial pursuit he has to think of something other than the answer if he knows it and can't look at the answer on the card until I give up, if he does look, the answer always just pops into my head) I am scared of ghosts and stuff, but can feel some around me. I am afraid to meditate and tap into this energy. I don't know why, but I am. Any thoughts?

It sounds like you've quite the god-given gift there..

Ghosts are nothing to fear, pity maybe; help if need be... But not Fear. If they are malicious, there are ways of protecting yourself, and your family. There are ways of removing them from your home, or sending them where they belong (Notably a bit more difficult.)

Fear can be a natural thing, but not something that is needed. Fear of spiritual growth could have been instilled in this life, or a previous; for whatever reason, it is only holding you back. Investigate Why, why are you afraid? If you do any research on chakras i would start with your Heart Chakra first, on releasing your fears.

If your husband is supportive, have him do it with you; that way you take the steps together, and there isn't any oddness between you. Meditation is a simple, universal thing. It can be directed to a specific outcome, or as broad and open ended as relaxing, and letting your mind wander, or go blank.

There is nothing to fear from growing stronger, and learning control. It's sitting and withering that can be the problem. It's never too late, but sooner is always better than later.

If you prefer solo acts, look online, and see what feels right to you. If it seems hokey, or off, it probably is. If worse comes to worse, Feel free to PM me with questions, or start a thread on this group. I'm sure there are many who would love to help.

The Light illumine, and Peace favor.

Callused, Good advice there. Again we think alike. Meditation can be very helpful for general health but also for psyche to ground and center, finding balance by connecting mind and body. Yoga uses the same principle.

Lavender: The first meditation I was taught was to sit on floor (or chair, feet flat on ground), close eyes and breathing naturally, thinking only of your breathing start counting your breathes up to 6, then start again 1-6, repeat. IF during your counting a thought drifts in, like, what am I going to have for dinner.... notice it, let it go and restart counting breathes at 1 again.... The goal is to see if you can reach 6 breathes without any interrupting thought(s). Start doing the meditation for 10 or 15 minutes and add time when it feels right to you. Totally self directed.

I believe all have the capacity for psychic abilities but, the gifts we are born with vary. Just like some people are naturally gifted athletes or great at math, psychic ability may be easier for some than others. Let's say I am so-so at it, doesn't mean I can't practice and work at it to improve -- sharpen my skills. That's my opinion. Not everyone will agree with me. :) I believe it scares us at first and possibly stunts the development because of the stigma our culture puts on it. From a young age we pick up the message that it is "woo woo", not supposed to be possible or means you are a weirdo.

[this is good]

MV: 'woo woo'?? *May Die Laughing* I can honestly say I've never heard that one before... ^_^

Though i would be willing to agree that everyone has some potential. Some people come out the chute (metaphysically speaking...) able to do incredible things. Sometimes that can get retarded by environment, mental blocks, or accidents... Others come out a bit... Slow. But that can be because of previous life issues, or other things. Sometimes those people explode into their gift, like riding a bike, and others have to learn to ride for the first time..

Lavender: Finding the root; you may need some outside help for this. Trying to pull up the past, this life i mean, I'm not sure how great your memory is... But trying to recall specific events might help reveal your fear. It could be a specific person, or event. They may or may not have been in the flesh... if you can feel entities, you may have once been able to see they Quite clearly. (This seems to be a fairly common reason people Don't see them as adults..)

We are here for you, and Good Luck!

hahah.. made ya laugh!

So many things to say,
*I think I am scared of the power? does that make any sense?I know I am so strong inside and I am scared of releasing it. I don't know, it is very overwhelming.
*and the heart chakra......we have this tai chi tape, there is a part that opens and cleanses the heart, I cannot do this without totally bawling. Seriously. So I have only done it three times. When I hear the advice to meditate and such, I feel the tears welling up within. My body becomes tighter. It is always a VERY emotional thing, I don't know why, or if it is weird because I do not hear of others with this physical response.
*Meditation is very difficult for me, I have recently been told I have ADD, it explains SO MUCH, and now am able to do so much working with it rather than against. So I have not been able to meditate very effectively, my mind is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I will try the counting thing though, sounds like I might be able to do that.
*memory is good, I have just linked my anxiety attacks to my bi-polar step- mother and her extreme mood swings. It is a total power control thing.
*My husband is very supportive, in fact he meditates and practices yoga every day.
*I am grateful for your support and advice, how lovely to have two strangers help in such an extremely loving way. Thank You both!

No problem! The counting meditation may work well for you since it the counting gives the brain "something to do" and yet also gives the brain a break from thoughts that pull at you. The Buddhists call that internal chatter, Monkey Mind. The phrase always makes me laugh.

I'm not a healer but I've had healers tell me about emotional body memory. Massage therapists with clients who release emotion, tears, anger, etc.. on their massage table. When I read of reaction to the tai chi movement that's what came to mind. Peace ~

my sister in law is a massage therapist, it is only recently I have started with monthly massages. The emotional body memory is what I suspect is the reason for the fibromyalgia(spelling is def. wrong here) but I have lived shyly inside for so long, hiding all of my pain and not even acknowledging that painful things were happening, pretending all was well. I think that is all stored up in my muscle tissue. When my sister is massaging me I have to tell myself "it is ok to let go, I do not need it" because it is physically painful. It is better now, she just learned the hot stone stuff, so it allows my muscles to kind of relax a bit before she beats me up. ; )
I definitely have Monkey mind, haha.
The counting thing is how I get myself to go to sleep at night, not counting breaths, but counting to 100 then backwards, I keep this cycle up until I drift to sleep. It is getting easier to sleep now that I do not work.

Tears from Heart Chakra work can be very healing. From what i can tell the reason you are crying now is because you didn't Then. When anyone first starts working with their heart chakra it is a very emotional thing. It's a way of healing your emotional body; releasing all the pain, anger, sorrow.. It's preparing your heart to love, just and purely.

The fact that your husband is supporting is a great boon; If you can have him help to walk you through these things, it might speed your process just knowing there is love waiting for you, even through the pain and tears.

I think this is the first time i've shared this one... But here goes; I hope it does help you.

First, make your body comfortable. Standing, sitting, slouching, laying down, etc. I personally prefer my papa-san for this; Get your body comfortable, relax your muscles; you could do this post massage if you prefer.

Close your eyes, and take slow deep breathes; not holding, just slow and relaxed breathing. Akin to the breath of sleep. In your mind; picture yourself in a forest. You never moved, you didn't leave, you didn't travel. You are just In the forest. A forest of the most exuberant greens; lush grasses, powerful trees of all types. This is Spring, the essence of Spring, Life, Growth and Renewel. Every color, shade and brightness of green imaginable. The soil dark and rich, the plants healthy. Just relax, and take it all in. Continue your deep relaxed breaths.

Take in the vibrance, make it a part of yourself, Breath in the green, see it flowing into you. Each breath you release is a dark mist or fog. Release your pain into each exhale, and breath in the peace, tranquility and life of your forest. Nature will ground out your pain, take it, and transmute it for itself. There is no loss to either side, this is a part of nature. You may find yourself crying during such an exercise, but it is natural, and healthy. Tears are not a bad thing, let them flow, and take in the vibrance you've surrounded yourself with.

Whenever you feel at peace, remember where you were. Remember the love waiting for you at your home. And wake up, right where you started.

It's a mixture of meditation and imagination. I think it might work for you, because there isn't a blankness you are striving for. But a constructive mental image.

I hope this helps,

Peace Favor, and the Light Illumine.

Funny, the part where you say " Nature will ground out your pain, take it, and transmute it for itself. There is no loss to either side, this is a part of nature. "
I felt a welling of emotion inside and a single tear fell over my cheek. Then I read "You may find yourself crying during such an exercise" Haha.
I am scared of letting go, it has been somewhat of a comfort? I am scared of the tidal wave of emotion when i break the wall down.

I cannot thank both of you enough. Such Kindness!

[this is good]

If reading the exercise is enough to start a welling, i think that might be a sign that it will work with you. Call it a Hunch. ^_^ Part of me Likes to Teach. And i enjoy watching people grow from what i teach. *shrugs* I know there are a lot of gifted people out there, that have had it rough, and need a bit of help to shine.

I am just glad you've a loving husband there to help you after the tidal wave passes; release the repressed pain, and invite in love. Fear can't hold you forever, Not with friends and loved ones to help you in life.

I would like to know One thing: "Do You Intend to Shine?"

~JC

you just want to make me cry dont you?

yes, I want to shine.
[this is good]

Tears just make room for happiness in the heart.

I look forward to seeing your path unfold, and another star being added.

If you ever have questions, or feel lost; You know where we are.

Now, Start taking your first steps! ^_^
